March 2004 is the date when Halvorssen joined the Board of Advisors where he announced the establishing of a group that would become internationally known that is going to triumph what human right is, focusing on the essence of freedom either tyranny freedom or self-determination freedom. Year 2005 is the year when Human Rights Foundation became incorporated and in the year 2006 in New York City, they opened their headquarters offering services to achieve human right protection. Vaclav Havel is the chairman until he died in December 2011.
He also served as the special guest in a Nobel Prize ceremony, a special guest of a Chinese political prisoner named Liu Xiaobo whom he awarded the prize in absentia. In order to address issues about China’s Uyghur rights violations, he supported the Un-level action. Through this, the issues have been cleared that helped China became more aware about human rights. He is a kind of person who is brave enough to face the challenges of life. There were times that he was not supported by the people around him but he still continue to pursue what he want to achieve. Thor Halvorssen Mendoza is an inspiration for everyone regarding the promotion of human rights.

Halvorssen served as the critic of well-known people including Hugo Chavez, Yoweri Museveni (President of Uganda), the democrats such as Jose Serrano and John Conyers, and Republicans including Jack Kemp. He also criticized the abuse of human rights done by Augusto Pinochet according to the symposium that was done by the National Review. He also had series of blitz to show human rights offenses by Ramzan Kadyrov, Checen president. Halvorssen is not the kind of person who is contented on what the government is giving to the people. He want to help them to gain respect and to get the freedom that they are fighting for.
Freedom fighter is the best description that is suited to describe Thor Halvorssen. The attitude that he has paved way to make every Venezuelan more progressive and act the way they should be. He want every people to become even more competitive in a way that they are not destroying other people’s credibility and status in the society. Halvorssen is an image of a good leader who is trusted and loyal to his people. The way he understands his countrymen would lead to make every people always at his side no matter what happen.
